NetSensor's warning about a strong wave of attacks against Brazil, which was being detected by the HackNet network since October 14th, has now been confirmed:
"Thousands of Internet providers are suffering DDoS attacks, which cause instability in services, throughout Brazil. In the South region, there are hundreds of companies affected, according to the Association of Internet Providers – InternetSul."
"The president of the Association, Alexandro Scuck, highlights that the unavailability led to periods of more than 2 hours of signal absence for users of several providers in Rio Grande do Sul. For others, there was no total unavailability, but an unstable signal."
“In view of this, providers are working from the first sign of attack, continuously and non-stop, together with their teams and tools to mitigate problems generated by DDoS, aiming to reestablish connections as quickly as possible”, he adds.
